Studio Borealis offers two hourly rental options:
Basic Rental: Includes access to the natural light studio, a selection of seamless paper backdrops, and basic equipment such as stands and reflectors. Please note that lights are not included. This rental is open to any photographers and creatives.
Pro Rental: Includes everything in the Basic Rental with the additional option of using the cyc wall (cyclorama).

Studio Borealis offers two rental options: Pro and Basic. The Pro Rental rate starts at $115 per hour and includes access to both the natural light and the cyclorama. The Basic Rental rate starts at $140 per hour and includes only the natural light. For more details on pricing, click here.

The Basic Rental is priced higher because it is open to photographers and creatives who may not have liability insurance. This option carries additional liability, insurance, and risk management costs.
We highly encourage any photographer who gets paid for their work to get business liability insurance to protect themselves and their business. -
The studio is perfect for headshots, branding, product photography, family sessions, and small creative shoots. It’s especially well-suited for those who need a clean, natural-light environment or want a modern vibe with the cyc wall.

A cyclorama (or cyc wall) is a seamless background typically used in photography and video to create a clean, infinite backdrop. It’s perfect for achieving that modern, studio-style look with no visible edges.

The studio can accommodate up to 25 people, though we recommend keeping groups to 15 or fewer for the best experience.

We offer a selection of furniture, rugs, and basic décor (including live plants) that’s available to use as part of your rental. Feel free to bring your own props to personalize your shoot further.

We do not offer lighting equipment at this time. You are welcome to bring your own lighting for your shoot or make other arrangements.

Yes, there is plenty of parking near the studio. We have space for 3-4 cars right in front of the building, plus a larger parking lot to the west for additional parking. -
Yes, we have a wide selection of seamless paper backdrops in various colors to fit your shoot’s aesthetic.

Yes, there is a restroom on-site, along with a green room—a space where your clients can get ready or take a break between shots.

We ask that you respect the studio’s equipment and space. Any damage to the studio or equipment may result in additional charges. No smoking or open flames are allowed. Please note that confetti is not permitted, as it can be difficult to clean up and may damage equipment. Alcohol is also not allowed unless pre-approved and part of a specific event. Please let us know if you have any special requirements or setups before your shoot.

Green Room Amenities
Life happens, and nobody can prepare for every “day-of” disaster. That’s why the green room is stocked to tackle (almost) any prep mishap. Whether it’s a fashion emergency, a hair hiccup, or just a little pick-me-up, we’ve got you covered.

Studio Equipment + Supplies
Aside from being a rentable space, Studio Borealis is also a fully functioning studio. With your rental, you’ll have access to everything in the grip zone. Here’s a list of what we currently have in stock.
